I looked at my blog and realized that I haven't updated since cross country season. I looked through my pictures to see what I could upload to satisfy my avid readers. There wasn't much I found, so I decided to go with this Christmas picture. Let me explain.
My partner teacher and I were talking the last week before Christmas break about how we wouldn't have any PE classes on the last day. We decided to use our time wisely and visit all of the class parties that would be occurring on that day. Although he was probably joking he said he should dress like Santa. In response, I told him that if he dressed as Santa, I would dress as an elf. After hunting down a Santa costume and putting together an elf costume, we were ready to spread Christmas cheer throughout the school. What good would we be without a reindeer, so I recruited my good friend, and fellow troublemaker, our music teacher to lead us like Rudolph.
Needless to say, the kids loved it. We stopped by each room and passed out candy canes, took pictures, ate pizza, and wished everyone a Merry Christmas. I had fun. I feel so blessed to work in a school district that isn't opposed to celebrating Christmas, and even more blessed to work beside such wonderful co-workers that would be willing to dress up like (possible) fictional characters from the north pole with me. I hope all of you had a Merry Christmas. And, I will try to post more this year, too.
